5-hybrid: 167 carry, 119 mph average across a big 25-shot sample

25 five-hybrids is the deepest single-club sample you've logged, so the averages are trustworthy: 167 carry, 176 total, 119 mph ball speed, 14 degree launch, 39 degree landing. Peak strikes hit 127 mph (shots 9, 22) and 185 carry (shot 15). The distance ceiling is real -- when you flush it, the 5-hybrid carries 178-185.

Still pulling left on the long club: 19 of 25 finished left (avg L12)

The new setup fixed the short and middle irons, but the 5-hybrid is still the holdout -- 19 of 25 finished left, averaging 12 yards left, with the worst at L39 (shot 15), L30 (shot 19), and a cluster of L23-L28. This is the same pattern that's hardest to kill on the longest, lowest-loft club, where a path that's slightly left of target gets amplified. Some is the light R-to-L wind, but L25+ on your best strikes is swing path, not wind. This is the next project after the irons.

Distance was strike-dependent: ceiling 185, floor 133

Carry ranged from 133 (shot 10, a 106 mph soft pull-cut) up to 185 (shot 15), a 52-yard spread -- the widest of the day, which is normal for a hybrid. The soft balls (shots 1, 3, 10, 13, 17 all under 155 carry and under 116 mph) are warmup/mishit strikes; the 17 solid ones clustered 162-185. Launch sat low at 14 degrees average, which is why a few balls released hard (shot 9: 174 carry, 185 total -- 11 yards of rollout).

Curve was tighter than the irons -- the misses are start-line, not face

Hybrid curve mostly sat L3-L12 / R2-R14, tighter and more two-way than the irons' one-way right. Combined with the heavy left finishes, that confirms the 5-hybrid problem is where the ball starts, not how it curves -- the face is fairly square but the path is sending it left. Alignment stick on the start line and a check on ball position will do more here than any face work.

Next session for the hybrid

1. The 5-hybrid is the one club the new setup hasn't fixed. Prioritize start-line/alignment work here specifically. 2. Re-baseline gapping: 8-iron carried 140, 5-hybrid 167 -- that's a 27-yard window with room for the 7- and 6-iron in between. Bring those next time to confirm the ladder. 3. The 119 mph average and 185 ceiling are good. This is a distance asset once the left bias comes out.
